Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive photography scene in the Humber.
Over the Bridge is a regional photography exchange connecting photographers across Grimsby, Hull and Scunthorpe. Designed to bridge the creative gap across the Humber, it brings photographers together through a programme of workshops, mentoring and exhibitions that encourage collaboration, skill-sharing and creative growth.
Delivered in partnership with Our Big Picture (Grimsby), Artlink Hull | 87 Gallery (Hull) and Fountain Arts (Scunthorpe), the project supports photographers of all levels to develop their practice, connect with others and showcase their work.
Over the Bridge aims to bring creative communities together, building a sustainable and supportive network that strengthens photography across the region.
Meet the Over the Bridge team
Abbie Jennings
Abbie is a photographer and creative producer based in Hull, her work explores identity, community and place. Before Over the Bridge, she co-founded the Women’s Photography Collective with Our Big Picture, helping to grow opportunities for photographers in North East Lincolnshire and the wider Humber region.
Wes Foster
Wes is a photographer and communications specialist working across community engagement and storytelling. He leads on communications for Over the Bridge, drawing on his experience with participatory photography projects through Lens Lab Project and regional partnerships across Yorkshire and beyond.

Our Big Picture is a arts and heritage organisation and charity based in Grimsby. Through artists they work, engage and co-create with their communities and believe that everyone has right to art in their lives.
Artlink Hull | 87 Gallery is a community arts charity based in Hull. Dedicated to bringing the creative arts to everyone, especially people who haven't had the chance to get involved before.
Fountain Arts is a creative visual arts project based in Scunthorpe, with an aim to support artists and increase arts engagement in North Lincolnshire by using unused spaces for projects, studios and learning.
