As the Fountain Arts team head off on their summer holidays, we want to see photography and image-making reflecting your own experiences of summer holidays and travel time. Whether spent at the British seaside, travelling abroad, or exploring closer to home, we are interested in considered photographic responses to the theme. This might include candid moments, observational work, or landscape-based imagery.

Submissions should be drawn from previous summer holidays or existing bodies of work. This is not a commission, and we do not expect new work to be produced for this opportunity.

• Submit your photograph(s) as a digital file.

• Selected images will be printed in postcard format and displayed in our windows.

• A small number of works will be selected for larger-scale prints. 

• All printing of work will be managed and paid for by Over the Bridge.

• Alongside the main exhibition, members of the public will be encouraged to submit postcards from their own summer holidays, contributing an additional layer of shared experience.

• This is a quick turnaround call, with submissions required in time for installation at the end of June.

• The exhibition will remain on display throughout July and August.

• After the exhibition, printed works can be collected from Fountain Arts or posted out to participants.

• This is an opportunity to present your work in an alternative exhibition format, engaging audiences beyond the traditional gallery setting.

• Please note, the work will be exhibited on the windows for passers by to see, and must be suitable for public display.
